Full Moon
Sometimes we feel like we are incomplete based on unfinished projects, goals, or insecurities that sabotage our life. We feel incomplete based on negative judgement that sabotages our growth. Whether it is internal judgement or external judgement.
You see…..
The moon is full and complete everyday.
You may be thinking WHAT?? What scientific studies have you been reading??!
I’ll tell you in a bit…
FIRSTLY…
Take it easy on yourself. You are whole regardless of how you’ve showed up for yourself or how you have ‘appeared’ in the eyes of others.
The moon doesn’t crumble when we humans refer to the moon as ‘it’s not a full moon today’.
Exactly …..
How can we apply this metaphoric example into our daily life, to ease our stress, and put our anxieties at bay…
Just because you didn’t tick all the boxes on your to-do list it doesn’t mean you have failed to complete your tasks.
Sometimes it is better for us to show up for these tasks we haven’t accomplished on another day with a different mood and energy.
Don’t evaluate your productivity based on other peoples standards of what productivity ‘should look like’. You have literally dug a claustrophobic hole for yourself.
You are a human, not a robot.
For example, typing this blog post was one of the final things on my to-do list yesterday. But it got a bit late. I felt tired. My mind was screaming at me to do it. It meant I could feel complete, and better about myself.
Funny enough these thoughts were racing while I was taking an evening walk, and the moon was full and bright. And it spoke to me and said, “I showed up full today, whereas majority of the days I don’t. Yet what you humans take of it is that I am not complete on those days, but that isn’t true. I am always whole, and complete even on the days you cannot see that. I show up in increments, and that’s the lesson I’m trying to teach you. I never fail to be consistent’.
Then…
Here I am today. Showing up in increments. And I won’t be typing this blog post all in one go now because I am ready to wind down for the day.
Just remember…
You are worth more than shining fully and brightly everyday on an external physical level because you shine fully and brightly from within.
The moon, even on days when its full can be covered by the dense clouds, yet never pulls away just because it can’t be seen or because it isn’t meeting peoples expectation of being ‘full’. Why? Because it has a deeper and greater purpose.
You are always a full moon, complete, shining bright. The moon takes a break too. And so should you.
